Back open.. well, sort of :)

Hope you all had a great Easter! We enjoyed ours here at the Burg household. Kids running wild over plastic eggs hidden all over the backyard ... two hunts in one day was enough to make for tons of sugar.. sugar that does NOT need to be in this house!

Anyway, I wanted to let you know I'm back but on a limited basis... all orders from this past weekend will be processed this week some time (sorry.. I am trying to get my taxes done.. YUCK!) & any new orders will ship next week. So, for now let's say production time is around 7-10 working days instead of the normal 3-5.

Spring Break Closure...

Getting ready for the bunny around here... kids are on Spring Break & I need to be with them. Turning off the computer after midnight tonight (Wed) & won't be back on until Tuesday, March 25th!

Store Closure Reminder!

Design Your Own (in full detail!)

Okay, so I promised I would write more about the "Design Your Own" portion of the store so here goes...

As most of you know I started doing shows this past fall. In order to keep the ordering process as simple as possible, I came up with a process involving patterns, icons & fonts that could be applied to any product that we were offering. These three elements were used & reused, designed & redesigned for HOURS of fun at the shows. My customers had a ball as did my sales girls who were pushing (ever so gently) the products all day long for 4 days straight (thanks reeme, beck, aim, & tut!... oh & jeff, mom, dad & meg, too :)

The products that were selected for the shows all fit inside our antique pie safe display & boy were people drawn to it! We created the ultimate "cluster" effect where we were swamped with onlookers in front of our booth CONTSTANTLY! Needless to say, it was a huge success incorporating a unique, fun shopping environment.

Hence the new look, new navigation and general approach to the way we sell on laurieslagniappe.com. There are new, innovative ways to shop in the works & I promise you're gonna love it! For now you can view the "patterns" "fonts" & "icons" links in the left navigation of the site to view your current choices to be applied to the following products:

Monogrammed Clipboards

This precious new gift is good for those on your list ages 5-65 (or older, hehe)! These clear acrylic 9 1/2 x 13 boards are decorated to perfection with a coordinating bow. You choose your pattern, font, icon (to be placed in the center in lieu of a monogram), monogram or name! I know you are just going to love these!

I cannot resist adding new goodies! Who said you have to gradually add new stuff?! I am sure you are gonna love this lagniappe newbie.

Open for business!

Just wanted to pass along that we are now officially open for business! A few changes have been made on the site & I hope you enjoy the new "look" :)

I am happy to announce that I will now be shipping strictly UPS Ground (2nd Day or Red Label also available at checkout) on all items that leave my office. Tracking will be much easier this way & I won't have the dreaded emails like I got so many of this past holiday season containing, "where's my order??" USPS is great for regular letters but I have to tell you they've really given me a run for my money this past season!

Shipments that go out directly from my contract factories & plants will be shipped in a variety of fashions - some still being USPS. One change to help alleviate the shipping questions will now be minimized by my requiring all customers to register at checkout. I know this can be a pain but trust me.. you will thank me for it in the long run :) You can login & check the shipping status on all of your orders after registration. This section will contain all the pertinent info you'll need to track your orders.

Stamps & Embossers now include the shipping in the price of each item. I have also included a discount if you order more than 5 stamps! I have had many multiple-stamp orders & feel it's only fair to now offer volume discounts :)

There's a new feature on the site titled "Design Your Own Personalized Products" I will be adding more details about this new feature but please check it out at your convenience & let me know what you think. Send me an email & a random winner will receive a free product of their choice from that line! Email Me your comment to qualify!!!

I will now be offering a variety of different insert sizes for purchase. The Sippy Cup Insert page is being tweaked to reflect the different sizing options & prices.

Deadline is here!

Hello! Holiday hours are in effect & I want to let you all know that the Christmas deadline has now been pushed up to this Thursday, November 29th. I cannot guarantee holiday delivery after that point for any product, be it in-house or outsourced. After this Thursday, the site will be closed for ordering & will not reopen until Wednesday, January 2nd.

Hurry... you've only got 2 days left to order for 2007!

Holiday Deadline

Christmas is getting very close! Too close for me since I have not purchased one gift. Everyone continues to impress me with your timely gift-buying skills. See, I have NONE of that going on around here! Luckily I have a tree that is decorated which I chose to do over the holiday weekend.

Just a quick reminder about the Christmas order deadline. Sunday, Dec 2nd will be the last day to place orders to arrive before Christmas. I wish I could cut it off now b/c I could really use the extra time to finish up! I will keep you posted during the week to see how it's coming. If need be, I may just have to cut it off mid-week. I am keeping my fingers crossed, though.

Any orders placed after the said deadline will not be processed until 2008! Please keep that in mind this week. I am ready for the holidays myself & need to get in tune w/my family :)

Also, I am no longer accepting custom work. Those of you who have already contacted me for custom photo cards, etc., you are on my list & I will be able to help you. However no new jobs are being accepted.

Design Your Own

If you have visited us at any of the shows we have been doing this fall, you've had the fun of experiencing the "Design Your Own" display that we have set up at our booth. I have recently updated the product selection on the site to include the small java mama, checkbook covers & can holders. I have also added the swatches to the site here.

For those of you who haven't seen our booth, the swatches that you see on the insert page can be applied to any of our "Design Your Own" line of products (sippy cups, java mama's, kid kup, checkbook covers, can holders & plates). If you see a pattern that you like on the swatch page, pick your favorite, pick your font & add that to your description on whatever product you want :)

I hope you have as much fun shopping online as my customers have had in person. It's so much fun picking out your very own personalized products!

Back from the show

Wow. A week of 12 hour days on my feet & I am wiped out! The show was a huge success & I am so excited to have been a merchant for the first time ever! The place was packed & we had a great response to everything in our booth. I am very busy trying to catch up & process orders from the week so please be patient. Plus I have been away from my family for a week & I miss my babies!

Order tracking

You will now be able to login to your accounts & check tracking numbers, ship dates & shipping carriers! I have had a lot of requests to update this information so starting with orders that have been shipped last week, you can now login to your account to see when they werew shipped & track them.

Go to "Track Your Orders" which is located at the top of every page on the website, use the login you provided at checkout (if you saved your account) & your orders should be listed there!

Hope this helps!! You can still email me if you need any info at all but I thought this might make it easier w/the holiday season coming up - delayed email responses will be likely!

Turnaround time
