Deadline is here!

Hello! Holiday hours are in effect & I want to let you all know that the Christmas deadline has now been pushed up to this Thursday, November 29th. I cannot guarantee holiday delivery after that point for any product, be it in-house or outsourced. After this Thursday, the site will be closed for ordering & will not reopen until Wednesday, January 2nd.

Hurry... you've only got 2 days left to order for 2007!

Holiday Deadline

Christmas is getting very close! Too close for me since I have not purchased one gift. Everyone continues to impress me with your timely gift-buying skills. See, I have NONE of that going on around here! Luckily I have a tree that is decorated which I chose to do over the holiday weekend.

Just a quick reminder about the Christmas order deadline. Sunday, Dec 2nd will be the last day to place orders to arrive before Christmas. I wish I could cut it off now b/c I could really use the extra time to finish up! I will keep you posted during the week to see how it's coming. If need be, I may just have to cut it off mid-week. I am keeping my fingers crossed, though.

Any orders placed after the said deadline will not be processed until 2008! Please keep that in mind this week. I am ready for the holidays myself & need to get in tune w/my family :)

Also, I am no longer accepting custom work. Those of you who have already contacted me for custom photo cards, etc., you are on my list & I will be able to help you. However no new jobs are being accepted.

Design Your Own

If you have visited us at any of the shows we have been doing this fall, you've had the fun of experiencing the "Design Your Own" display that we have set up at our booth. I have recently updated the product selection on the site to include the small java mama, checkbook covers & can holders. I have also added the swatches to the site here.

For those of you who haven't seen our booth, the swatches that you see on the insert page can be applied to any of our "Design Your Own" line of products (sippy cups, java mama's, kid kup, checkbook covers, can holders & plates). If you see a pattern that you like on the swatch page, pick your favorite, pick your font & add that to your description on whatever product you want :)

I hope you have as much fun shopping online as my customers have had in person. It's so much fun picking out your very own personalized products!

I have been getting a lot of phone calls & emails regarding order status for the custom orders placed at Hollydays in Baton Rouge. I will attempt to address them here:

Back from the show

Wow. A week of 12 hour days on my feet & I am wiped out! The show was a huge success & I am so excited to have been a merchant for the first time ever! The place was packed & we had a great response to everything in our booth. I am very busy trying to catch up & process orders from the week so please be patient. Plus I have been away from my family for a week & I miss my babies!

Order tracking

You will now be able to login to your accounts & check tracking numbers, ship dates & shipping carriers! I have had a lot of requests to update this information so starting with orders that have been shipped last week, you can now login to your account to see when they werew shipped & track them.

Go to "Track Your Orders" which is located at the top of every page on the website, use the login you provided at checkout (if you saved your account) & your orders should be listed there!

Hope this helps!! You can still email me if you need any info at all but I thought this might make it easier w/the holiday season coming up - delayed email responses will be likely!

Turnaround time

Just a quick note... turnaround time is looking like 3-5 business days right now. Holidays are approaching & orders are a-plenty! I am doing my best to keep up with the pace but if you notice a little delay in response time, please take that in to consideration :)

Hi there! I hope you all are having a fun-filled college-football weekend! We just got back from the TU/MSU game at the Superdome. It was a great first half & then it went all down hill from there. I had my neice & nephew tonight so we were all at the game ... I got a taste of what it would be like to have 5 kids... yeah, not an option!!!!! LOL!

I wanted to introduce the Java Mama & Kid Kup mugs as soon as I had my hands on them b/c I absolutely love them! However I've had a couple of b-day's in my family (the two boys) & I have been busy getting all of that fun stuff out of the way :)

I am so pleased with the quality of this cup. It is so sturdy & heavy duty that I am sure you'll agree it's a keeper. I hope you like them & I hope you find that they will be useful for yourselves (afterall we moms all need a little happy every once in a while) & your older kids. My two older ones use theirs at almost every meal! For now you can choose designs from the sippy cup insert section & indicate your choice in the order detail. I will be adding new designs for the "older" versions so please have patience!

So, when you place your order for the Java Mama & Kid Kup, please understand that they both come with an insert included in the price. If you want additional insert designs, add whichever inserts you want to your cart.

New Self Inking Stamp Policy

In order to keep the stamp ordering process timely & efficient, while helping to decrease production time, the following policies are effective immediately on all self-inking stamp & embosser orders. These policies will affect all stock stamp designs - not a fully-customized design. All artwork offered as a stock design is typset as-is & can be changed for a fee. Please see the following fee schedule:

• Change of fonts are now $5 extra
• Change of graphic is now $5 extra
• Proofs are now optional & will cost $2.50 extra per proof, per revision
• All stampers come with a stock black ink cartridge. All other colors are available at an additional $5 each.

Quick clarification!

I wanted to post a little note about a comment that Jen left regarding product depth. Thank you so much, Jen for posting this b/c I have wanted to post something about this for a while now but have not had the time :)

Since my store is packed with different categories (most of which I design, produce & ship myself) it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with adding new products in certain categories. Since the first of the year my business has nearly tripled from last year & I am doing my best to react to this increase. I have been forced at this point to produce on demand the products that are selling more than others. So, if you notice there are not as many items in certain areas, this is why!

But I do have good news... nearly everything in my store (design-wise) is interchangeable & can be transferred (within reason) from one product to another. My stamps do carry some restrictions but some can be worked around.

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know this little tidbit of info since it has been brought up before but neglected to be addressed :)

New products!

I am unveiling a new option when it comes to the sippy cup inserts. In addition to the Playtex Create My Own sippy cup inserts, I will be featuring a Kids Kup (8oz) & Java Mamma cup (16 oz) as well! These will have reversible inserts (2 designs for each insert) & will retail for $12.5o for the Kids Kup & $15 for the Java Mamma cups (plus shipping).





Also available are the Playtex Create My Own sippy cup itself w/a reversible insert for $10 each. The inserts will still be available as a one-side only insert for $2.50 each. The reversible ones will only be available when purchased as a full set including the sippy cup.

Melamine plates... on their way!

Yep.. customized melamine plates are on their way to Laurie's Lagniappe. I just ordered my first run of samples to test the waters & from that point on I'll be up & ready to sell, sell, sell! These will be such a hot seller, I just know it! I am in the process of coming up with exclusive designs - a local artist who does beautiful work! I can't wait to offer these.. they will make such cute gifts, favors & even every day china! LOL! I'd much rather use a melamine plate than a heavy stone like I have in my cabinet.

Here's a few that I did for my kids... these designs will not be available for mass-production but I just couldn't wait any longer to produce my first ones.
Price is $24.00 each.

Square Stickers Added

Happy 2nd Friday of the week! Since today is the second Friday of the week, I am having a buy one get the 2nd one 1/2 off sale for the 4th person to post.. Hurry!

It's been a while...

Summertime is a busy time here! The two older kids are in camp but it doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day to complete everything I need to do. With that, the dishes pile up, the house gets trashed & I am up til 4am a couple times a week trying to catch up! So, if you get email responses at 2, 3, or even 4am, that's why! My day hasn't started early...it's only still going! Thanks in advance for your patience on delayed response times.

I wanted to post the new sippy cup inserts that have hit the site. These have become a highly-sought after item & I am glad to finally have them. These inserts are printed on the same high-quality printer that my stationery is printed on & are laminated to protect the designs from getting wet. If you don't see a design that you are hoping to find, please email me & tell me about it... I will get it added to the cart asap!

Update to Self Inking Stamps

I have just added the following options for the Self-Inking Stamp designs:

• Now available - Plate Only option for the round self-inking stamper! Now you can purchase additional designs for your stamper at only $10 per design! The plates come with a sticky backing that can be reused over & over again. If the sticky loses its adhering capabilities, a simple double-sided tape can be used instead.
  
  Some ideas of "other" design options would be one for holidays, a birthday design, a birth announcement, or whatever you can think of!
  
  PLEASE NOTE! This option is for existing customers only - if you have not purchased a self inking stamper from us, please do not choose this option. We cannot guarantee & will not stand behind this option if you purchased another brand stamping mechanism. We only guarantee & recommend this for our brand.

All stamper designs are now offered as a desktop embosser for $45 each. Choose this option only if you are looking for an embossed impression on your paper or envelopes.

I am working on adding envelope embossers with straight-line text as well for those of you looking for a simple, classy return address impression. These look great on the back flaps of all your outgoing mail :)

Very busy this past month... mostly w/family time & fun stuff like that.
First came my sister's graduation from college...

Then came the "Hannah Montana Dance A Thon" 5th Bday Celebration of my 5-going-on-15-year-old daughter! We've been having so much fun! Enjoy :)

It's Snowball Season!

My favorite time.... from March to November - we are BLESSED with these delectable ice mounds filled with finely shaved snowizard (this is the only true snowball machine) ice topped with juicy syrup and condensed milk (if you choose). No other better use of the Styrofoam cup!

Anyway, I had to add these "snowball notes" inspired by some of my favorite flavas :)
